Berkshire’s MidAmerican Sees Capital Spending Climbing in 2015

MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co., the utility company controlled by Warren Buffett ’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., said capital spending may climb 25 percent next year as the business expands in Nevada through an acquisition. MidAmerican forecast expenditures of $5.5 billion next year, compared with $4.4 billion in 2013, according to a presentation from the Des Moines, Iowa-based company that was attached to a regulatory filing today.
